INTRODUCTION: In recent years, gram-positive bacteria have been frequently isolated in bloodstream-related infections. Staphylococcus aureus is the most important bacteria in this group.
Therefore, it is aimed to determine antibiotic susceptibility of S. aureus obtained from blood culture in the last three years in our hospital.

METHODS: Methicillin resistance rates of 77 S.aureus strains isolated from blood culture in 2014-2017 were analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTS: Twenty-eight of the patients were female (36,4 %), and 49 (63,6 %) were male. The mean age of the patients included in the study was 58,78 ± 19,5 years (minimum-maximum: 18-93 years). MSSA 51.9 % (n = 40) and MRSA 48.1 % (n = 37) was isolated from all samples. None of the patients had vancomycin, linezolid and quinupristine\dalfopristin resistance. On the other hand daptomycin, tigecycline and teicoplanin resistance were determined respectively 2.6 %, 2.6 %, 7.8 % in MRSA isolated patients.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: As a result, knowledge of the resistance pattern of MRSA and MSSA cases decreases the mortality and morbidity rates of the patients. Thus, the length of hospital stay is shortened and the cost ratio is reduced, contributing to the economy of the country.

Bu nedenle hastanemizde son üç yıl içerisinde kan kültüründen elde edilen S.aureus’a ait antibiyotik duyarlılıklarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
BULGULAR: Hastaların 28’i kadın (% 36,4), 49’u (% 63,6) erkek cinsiyette idi.
