Hydatic Cyst In The Pelvic And Sacral Region: A Case Report

Hydatid disease is a zoonotik parasitic infection caused by Echinococcus granulosus. Hydatid disease is an endemic disease in Turkey. Echinococcus cyst are found mostly in the liver and lung,but they can be located in any part of the body. Pelvic and bone involvement of echinococcosis is rarely occurs. The combination of radiologic and serologic test especially in patients living in he endemic areas contribute to the diagnosis. We describe a case of hydatid disese as a rare cause of pelvic pain

Pelvik ve Sakral Yerleşimli Kist Hidatik: Olgu Sunumu

Hidatik hastalık Echinococcus granulosusun sebep olduğu parazitik bir enfeksiyondur. Türkiye kist hidatik açısından endemik bir bölgedir. Echinococcus kisti en sık karaciğer ve akciğerde yerleşir,ancak vücudun herhangi bir bölgesinde de saptanabilir. Pelvik bölge ve kemik tutulumu nadirdir. Radyolojik yöntemler ile serolojik testlerin kombinasyonu özellikle endemik bölgede yaşayan hastalarda tanıda oldukça yararlıdır. Biz pelvik ağrının nadir bir sebebi olarak kist hidatik saptanan olguyu sunmayı amaçladık.
